Austin ranked number one on the list. The findings were based upon the potential buyer placing a 20% down payment. Buyers have a lot to choose from when it comes to moving to Austin. After the first year of school many students choose to abandon their small dorm room space and secure an apartment in a nearby community. Of course dorm living is drastically different from apartment living. Most students usually have their parents come up a month or two earlier to pick out furniture, while some scour area garage sales for treasures. Either way sprucing up an apartment involves much more work than hanging a few pics in the dorm.
