With vibrant fall foliage, cool crisp weather, and long anticipated weather changes, there is no season quite like fall. All My Sons Austin movers know 5 ways that you can celebrate the season with these fall events in Austin!
1. Show your Austin pride at a University of Texas football game! Bring your family and friends to watch the Longhorns go head-to-head with their top rivals. UT games are a great way to kick off a string of fun fall events in Austin. It’s the best way to tailgate, barbeque, and cheer on your favorite college team with friends and family. Games are running this season from September 4 until November 25.
2. Take the kids to see Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” on October 28. This Disney in Concert production plays at The Long Center, with live music from the Austin Symphony.
3. Boo at the Zoo takes place on October 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, and 29. This fall event in Austin is an annual fundraiser that allows Austin residents to see the animals at night and take a haunted train ride through the illuminated Austin Zoo.
4. Head to Sweet Berry Farm. Sweet Berry is a farm located outside of Austin, just past Marble Falls. Sweet Berry sells strawberries year-round, but this farm celebrates the fall season with their pumpkin patch, corn mazes, and animal farm. Kids can enjoy pumpkin painting and scarecrow stuffing as well! Sweet Berry is open every day except for Wednesdays.
5. Dia de Los Muertos, October 15. “Day of the Dead” is a celebration that usually takes place in Central and South America, Spain, and Mexico. Dia de Los Meutros honors family members and loved ones that have departed. This fall event in Austin encourages visitors to dress up in vibrant colors and costumes, while dancing, singing and telling stories to those they love.
